I’ve never been THAT girl. You know the one. She walks into a room and turns heads. She commands attention and makes people laugh. Her happiness is like a halo of light that draws people in. Sofi Seck is that girl. The day of the shoot, I thought I would be nervous, but Sofi has a way of projecting her halo to make the people around her feel comfortable and confident. I was completely amazed by how much fun it was! When Sofi takes pictures, she sees you in ways that you never even saw yourself. She truly finds the beauty in every person and displays it in a way that makes it unmistakable. By looking at her work, Sofi’s talent is clear, but what you don’t see is how much she makes you laugh and puts you at ease. A photo shoot can be a scary experience. Insecurities rise to the surface and you’re never really sure what to do. You made me forget all the fears I had. You made me feel so comfortable that instead of an amazing photographer clicking away, it felt like you’re just hanging out with a camera happy friend–which you also happen to be. You used your skills and took awesome shots. You are not just a person with a camera; you are an artist who inspires. I gave a little and got a lot.

If I could describe Sofi in one word, it would be laughter.It sort of bubbles out of her into you and before you know it, you are engulfed in it. It is impossible to be in a sallow mood around Sofi… as for Sofi the photographer, She will not let anything get in the way of a great photo. I was aghast when she got on the ground in the middle of the road in the landing, then she coaxed me into walking into the four seasons for pictures just like I was one of the guests. There is no question about her passion for photography…I thoroughly enjoyed the photo session I had with Sofi. I had no idea what to do, but she made me feel comfortable and guided me to a point where I was able to feel secure in front of the camera. I would go through the whole experience just for the fun and laughter. Sofi you are simply magnificent.

Sofi Seck in one word-PASSSIONATE! When Sofi works, she is an artist. She starts with a vision of what she wants and through her creativity and hard work she produces images that are pieces of art. As a photographer, Sofi is creative, hard working, and FIERCE! As a person, she is sweet, funny, and understanding. When I did senior portraits with her, she made me feel so comfortable. She helped me when I needed help, reminded me to be myself, and helped me with the poses because this was my first session and I had no idea what to do! She made me feel confident; she was very encouraging the whole time and brought out the fierceness that I never thought I had in me.
